The Business Development Manager

Cro Metrics is searching for a motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset to:

  • Generate new pipeline
  • Nurture leads through marketing automation and targeted outreach 
  • Qualify leads and scope new engagements

The BDM will be responsible for driving the company’s success by supporting the sales organization, reporting to the VP of Business Development. The appropriate candidate will enjoy learning about prospective client companies and getting to know our stakeholders, and will be motivated to succeed in helping Cro Metrics win new business.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Grow Cro Metrics client base from more effective pipeline generation and lead nurturing
  • With internal strategists and analysts, develop opportunity analysis, program recommendations, case studies, and other deliverables we need to create high impact pitches with minimal VP guidance
  • Embrace fast turnaround time, including responding to internal or external requests within 1 business day
  • Identify new efficiencies in organizing and tracking prospects and leads
  • With VP support, develop plans, cadence, and content for prospecting and lead nurturing
  • Develop improved CRM management and employ marketing automation to enhance our prospecting
  • Draft succinct, clear, grammatically correct communication to prospects 
  • Take initiative on internal projects to make the sales group and the overall company more effective

Experience and Capabilities

  • Show initiative and consistently drive what needs to be done to the finish line
  • Motivated to learn the details of CRO and performance marketing and how it relates to other growth marketing functions such as SEO and email
  • Balance urgent inbound requests with work already in progress
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • 3+ years of enterprise sales or marketing experience
  • Proficient in MS Office and G Suite
  • Motivated self-starter who can identify process efficiencies and improve marketing automation systems
  • Available and responsive during US business hours (some flexibility between time zones)
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Desire to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, highly collaborative and remote environment
  • Lifelong learner; growth mindset
  • Digital marketing knowledge is a plus
  • Professional services (agency) experience is a plus
